INTRODUCTION
Karakoram International University was established in 2002.The University is situated in mountains at the confluence of the Gilgit and Hunza rivers.KIU is to be a multi campus university and is seeking to establish additional campuses.The KIU is the first university in Gilgit Baltistan which provides quality education to the students of every district.

Project land area is around 45,000 Kanal which will be expanded to 60,000 Kanal in next few years. The proposed location of the project is on Farozpur Road and the entry point would be from Butcher Point Canal whereas Kahna Kacha Road will be on its northern side.
