The Info Mat campaign has been established to encourage internet use within the National Curriculum and provide an information network (infomat.net) that can support the entire education sector.
In 1998 a school liaison team was developed in order to ascertain how the internet was utilised within the education sector. There were several concerns expressed by head teachers, teachers and the pupils themselves, such as;
Info Mat has developed an information network to allow education authorities, teachers, pupils and parents to communicate through one forum. Infomat.net has been constructed in line with feedback directly obtained from all educational parties. Requests for information and resources has been diverse and covers a variety of subjects, therefore, major blue chip organisations as well as smaller businesses which specialise in these areas, have been asked to get involved. These will provide accurate and up to date information for all users.
The site has been split into four main categories; the classroom area, the playground area, the staff room area and the home time area.Ice Tec will feature heavily in the Entertainment motoring subsections.
All schools will receive a free promotional mouse mat featuring Ice Tec’s name and logo amongst other larger companies. This will create a massive impact and awareness for both Ice Tec and infomat.net. Ice Tec has also been asked to be involved in email marketing with Info mat.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Products - faulty within 30 days of purchase
When you receive an item which does not function, it may be that you are not sure whether the product is faulty, incompatible, or simply that you have not mastered how to use it yet. In these cases, the manufacturer of the product will be able to advise accordingly and may either get it configured, replace it directly, or refer you back to Ice Tec with a reference.
If we sell you an item which is faulty, you are legally entitled to a full refund or replacement but you must report it to us within 30 days of receipt.
Once a returns reference number has been received and a collection organised, please return the item to us intact with all packaging, manuals, accessories etc.
Returns tickets are valid for a 30 day period.
Items reported faulty outside of 30 days will be subject to manufacturer's warranty arrangements which may entail a repair being performed.
In some instances, we may ask you to contact the manufacturer directly in order to confirm there is a physical fault as we have found that some faults are configuration or compatibility issues. This in no way affects your statutory rights and is simply something we may ask our customers to perform in order to speed up the DOA process.
Ice Tec's policy on faulty products is to refund or exchange the product within the first 30 days they bought the product. After the 30 days have passed, we suggest repair of the faulty product. We will only replace a product if repair is impossible. This decision is made at our discretion. This would happen in situations where; the manufacturer/supplier is no longer being in business, non-availability of spare parts, severe thermal damage to the product, or when the product is not practical (e.g. speakers) or economic (e.g. a cable) to repair.
The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (SI 2334/2000) introduces a 'cooling off' period, i.e. a right for you to cancel your order. Note that it has nothing to do with the Sale of Goods Act, which deals with 'faulty' products. If your purchase is faulty, we will deal with this under our normal returns procedure.

If a damaged or wrong product is delivered to you, simply contact our customer service team for a “Returns Authorization” or “Returns Number”, explaining the problem. We will collect the product(s) in question and refund or replace, as you desire.
Our policy is that if anything is wrong with any products you receive, immediately on delivery, we'll always cancel the sale and refund it, if that is what you want. Note that the refund will only be actioned once the products are back in Ice Tec’s possession.
Please ensure that if there is visible damage to the packaging that you sign the delivery note accordingly. It is always better to sign as received as 'damaged/opened' with a brief explanation rather than writing 'unchecked'.
To obtain a returns authorisation number please submit an enquiry ticket to our returns department.
After you have obtained your returns number, then we can offer you a collection that will be arranged at your convenience.
In case of your absence when our delivery company/courier delivers a parcel to you, it will be taken back to their local depot. A card will be posted through your letterbox saying that they called and requesting for you to contact them to organise for re-delivery, collection or rejection.
