How to make Basic Granola Recipe


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 -1/2 cups of old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups of sliced almonds
  • 1 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil original
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup of raisins or other dried fruit
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup

How to Make Basic Granola

Step-1

Preheat oven to 300ºF. Toss together almonds, oats, coconut, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds and salt in a large bowl. Stir in oil and syrup.

Step-2

Divide mixture in equal amount between 2 large rimmed baking sheets and spread out openly. Bake  upto 40 to 45 minutes, until golden and toasted, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes and switching pans from top to bottom and front to back halfway through.

Step-3

And then immediately transfer granola to a large bowl and let it cool completely, stirring irregularly. When it is cool, toss in raisins. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
